Bowling club hosts long weekend triples
Nyngan Bowling Club hosted its annual June long weekend triples tournament on the weekend, attracting 26 teams from across the region.

Despite the cold and blustery weather, club president Mark Cashion said the event was a success for the town.
“A huge congratulations to the prize winners and a big thank you to all the bowlers that travelled to the Nyngan Bowling Club.
“Also, a massive thank you to our sponsors, Aeris Resources, CaterCare for their contribution towards keeping everyone well fed, Ironearth, Don Clark Tractors, Bcib Insurance and Murphy’s Hardware,” he said.
Bowling Club manager Jacob Homer rated the weekend tournament as the “best so far” for the Club.
The winning team was skippered by Allen “George” Hemmings from Tamworth, and included John “Fluffy” McIlwain from Guyra and Tate Sinclair from Nyngan.
