International Women’s Day was celebrated in Nyngan on March 8, with a morning tea hosted by the Nyngan Museum Committee. Around 26 women and a couple of blokes enjoyed a cuppa and some home cooked treats (many from Donna Pumpa’s cook book ‘What’s for Smoko’) on the museum platform.

Jeni Milligan won the lucky door prize, which she then offered for sale to raise funds for the Days For Girls charity. Several members of the museum committee, including convenor Leonie Montgomery are involved in the Days For Girls Nyngan group which creates reusable menstrual kits for girls around the world.
