The Tigers hosted Bathurst Panthers at Larkin oval on Sunday, May 24. The Nyngan boys will be rueing the one that got away.

The Tigers looked the better side for the majority of the match but just failed to put the Panthers away. Poor ball control and lack of discipline cost us dearly.

The scores were locked at 14 all with a couple of minutes go when the Panthers received a questionable penalty which they turned into two points to snatch victory and shatter the Tigers fans.

The Cleary boys were very good once again. They have motors on them, these boys, they never stop. Big Ned Dawson also worked hard.

Fullback Charlie Wykes was another who stood out. He is starting to warm to the task at fullback and will continue to improve in the weeks ahead.

The Reggies got back in the winner’s circle with a hard thought 32-20 victory over the Panthers. The Bourke boys were good for us with Sam Canty, Coop Ryan and Braith Kelly all going well.

For mine it was another Bourke boy Clynton Edwards who was our best. Clynto has been improving with every run and will be pushing for first grade in the weeks ahead.

The under 18s ran into a white hot Panthers outfit and were never in the hunt. Logan Carter and Usia Tuinayatuyasawa were our best just in front of Sam Walsh who has settled right into Tiger town.

League tag were a lot like first grade. They should have got the cash but didn’t. The girls all gave it their best but just failed to nail their opportunities and went down 14-4.

This weekend we are on the road to Orange to take on the Hawks.
