Warren IGA wins state award
Warren IGA has been honoured for exceptional customer service at the 2026 IGA NSW/ACT Awards of Excellence in Sydney, reinforcing its standing among the best independent supermarkets in the region.

The meat department, managed for the past 16 years by James Taylor, was awarded the best medium meat department of the year.
The award recognised the store’s commitment to “quality, freshness and community pride” which was evident in the in the "superbly presented meat offer featuring expertly prepared cuts and an impressive range”.
Warren IGA has been owned and operated by Kevin and Bernie Taylor and their family for the past 30 years and in that time has become one of the leading supermarkets in the region for its fresh produce and innovative merchandising.
The meat department is stocked by the neighbouring Meat House butchery, which James Taylor said ensured the produce was fresh, sustainably sourced and well presented.
Warren IGA was also represented in several staff award categories, with Francine Cole nominated for the Rising Star award and Carly Reid, Megan Darcy and Katrina Chapman for the Freezer/Dairy department category.
Store spokesperson Jess Taylor said Warren IGA aimed to provide the best quality produce so its customers didn’t need to leave town to shop.
“Being independently owned allows for us to be in control of what we stock and that it is of the best quality,” Mrs Taylor said.
The store is also a leading employer of local people in the Warren community.
